We’re proud of our team members, and we want everyone else to know how great they are. That’s why each month we talk with one of our employees to let them share how they shine in their role. This month, we’re talking with Director of Brokerage Holly Larrison Mills.
What’s been your most exciting project recently?
It’s a tie between brokerage and technology infrastructure. The most exciting brokerage project is scouring the market for 1031 exchange options for one of our key clients. I am a treasure hunter at heart and really enjoy the search! Leveraging technology to foster broker time efficiency and skill evolution is a very exciting project whose time has come. I anticipate that 2022 will provide an abundance of brokerage opportunities across all property types. We are poised to increase our market share and broaden appreciation of our unique brand.
How do you utilize our core values in your role?
The stereotypic broker flies solo and operates in a vacuum, most often using technology as a fancy Rolodex. In addition to working with Audrey to mentor our brokerage team, I am teamed up with 5 brokers on several dozen sale and lease listings. We are constantly finding ways to streamline our efforts to expand capacity. I greatly value that Clemons is not a ‘stay in your lane’ culture. I have had the privilege of working with talented and generous individuals in the past, but the Clemons-style commitment to collaboration is unparalleled.
What have been some highlights during your time with Clemons?
I am very happy about the year-one success of several early-stage brokers. As a broker, two particular wins have been personally satisfying: generating leasing and sale transactions in a portfolio that had been underperforming for a decade, and also closing a transaction involving a multi-tenant office property that many brokers would believe to be unsellable due to the high vacancy.
